NEW DELHI: Majority of exit poll results for Delhi assembly elections 2020 have predicted a clean sweep for Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). However, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has not abandoned hope and expects to form the next government in the national capital after results for Delhi polls are declared on February 11.
Our analysis suggests that the truth seems far behind it. This election was followed by our team very closely and put several questions i.e. CAA, NPR, Nationalism, Abrogation of Article 370 and 35 (A) Ram Temple Verdict, Inflation, GST, Unemployment, Law and Order, Education, Water and Electricity, Road and Safety, Environment and Shaheen Bagh before the delhities rank and files.
Prominently, Shaheen Bagh was hit amongst other issues raised while speaking to the voters. Majority of voters were of the opinion that BJP should win and we will vote for BJP only. There is no question to vote for APP again which they fool us for five years. No schools, safety for women in the city under Arvind Kejriwal government.
The Observer’s team went out to publics and catch their reactions after voting, mostly voters between age 25 to 50 have to say that they vote for BJP considering the security scenario in the national capital. A section of women seem annoyed with AAP government. As per them, AAP didn’t fulfill commitment to install the CCTV in buses and road. This government didn’t step in to work on women safety. Few women also cited ‘Norbhaya cases’ and said that Arvind Kejriwal is responsible for being not execution of rapists because AAP government made changes in the Jail manual in 2018.
According to The Observer Bharat, the BJP is predicted to bag 43 Assembly seats in Delhi, while the AAP could win 27 seats, and the Congress winning none. The team has observed the unprecedented voters after 4 PM which suggests that these were the cadre votes which none has except BJP as of now.
