SC issues notice to Rahul Gandhi on ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ slogan

New Delhi, Apr.15 (HS): Supreme Court has issued notice to the Congress National President, Rahul Gandhi in a defamation case filed by BJP leader, Minaxi Lekhi involving Rafale deal.

Lekhi accused Rahul Gandhi of defaming prime minister Narendra Modi by clamoring slogan ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’.

Supreme Court bench headed by CJI, Ranjan Gogai has clearly told in the court that it had not in any manner concluded anything that cast aspersion on prime minister.

CJI further told, court is only hearing on the point of so called privileged documents as claimed by central government.

It is worth mentioning that talking to media persons, Rahul Gandhi had claimed that it was SC observation that prime minister had done something wrong in Rafale deal.

Even, Rahul Gandhi in his every public speech is sounding the same slogan of ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’ indicating prime minister, Narendra Modi. Now, Rahul has to file his reply in court by 22nd April.
